We're making our own snow!

My roomies and I have a tradition of making paper snowflakes every holiday season and hang them from our ceiling. I know it isn't even Thanksgiving, but we want snow so bad that we thought this was the next best thing. It is fun to get creative with the paper and we plan on having whoever comes to visit make a snowflake to hang our ceiling. We may have a blizzard pretty soon!

Don't eat the orange ones!

Christmas from the Stomach?

So every fall our stake has this massive stake wide Christmas enrichment for all the wards. We get all these cute crafts that the sisters can make for cheap. And, of course, it is a church function so we have a lot of food. I, along with about thirty others sisters in the stake, was asked to bring 3 dozen goodies. (30 x 36=1080 sugar filled bundles of joy) I made these marshmallows dipped in chocolate then rolled in crushed peppermint candies. I didn't get a chance to get one, but they sure look good. Anyway, most of the 1080 goodies were gone by 6:30. The party started at 4. There are a lot of ladies jacked up on sugar tonight.

It was a monster mash. . .

Happy Halloween everyone! This is really one of my least favorite holidays, but I do love to try and come up with creative costumes. This year I went with one I found off the Internet. I was pretty torn between this one and being a Chia pet, but this one was so much easier. Can you guess what I am? Yup, a deviled egg. You can't see it, but I even have a tail. It was good enough to win me first prize in the creative costume category at the Institute dance. You read that right, first prize. That put me up there with the Q-tip man (yes, it was a dirty Q-tip) and a Capn' Crunch look a like. You may wonder what my prize was? This sweet goodness:

And I will savor every sweet chocolaty bite. And I'll share with my good friend Beccah. Isn't she one hot looking cowgirl?
